disclosure & other such formalities
This website and blog, Kristin Ungerecht, is a website and personal blog, written and edited by me. (That’s why it’s personal, my friend.) For questions about this blog and any of its content, please contact me, Kristin Ungerecht. (But you knew that already.)
From time to time, this website and blog accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions or other forms of compensation. This may look like a book review where I was given the book for free in exchange for a review or a brand giving me some swag or other form of compensation to talk about them. (I only choose to do this with brands I admire and goodies I enjoy. If I wouldn’t tell you about it on a coffee date, you won’t see it on this website.)
It could also look like me sharing an affiliate link to a favorite product, because as an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. When you purchase an item I recommend via an affiliate link, I receive a small kick-back payment from Amazon, but know that this comes at no extra cost to you. (Basically, it’s a win-win.)
This website abides by word of mouth marketing standards. I believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity. (Honesty is, after all, the best policy.) The compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog. That content, advertising space or post will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content. (In other words, you’ll know because I’ll be up-front about it.)
The owner of this blog is at times compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. Even though, as the owner of this blog, I receive compensation for certain posts or advertisements, I will always give my honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences on those topics or products. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own. (What’s the point otherwise, am I right?)
Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question. (‘Cause I’m human, and they would know way more about that sort of thing than me anyway.) This blog does not contain any content which might present a conflict of interest. (I generally prefer to be without conflict anyways.)
This policy is valid from 25 February 2019.
